Getting Started
Alertu integrates with your cloud alerting infrastructure to provide a centralized, unified view of your alerts. With Alertu, you can:
- Receive notifications for all alerts in one place with a high level of visibility and customization
- Analyze and visualize alerts across your cloud infrastructure
- Integrate with your existing team communication channels in Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, and more
- Have a centralized view of your alerts, making it easier to manage and respond to incidents
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have the following:
- Cloud infrastructure hosted on Azure or Google Cloud Platform with alerting configured and enabled
Setup Steps
To get started, follow these steps:
- Sign up for a free account on Alertu.io.
- Create an organization - this will be your workspace.
- Create a new project within your organization - a project should represent an environment - it’s recommended to create a project for each environment you would like to integrate your alerting with.
- Create a team - you can create as many teams as you need. Teams are used to group users together.
- Create an alert group - an alert group is a collection of alerts that teams can subscribe to. You can create as many alert groups as you need and we reccomend using alert groups to group alerting for applications, services, cloud resources, and more.
- Once you have created your alert groups, you need to navigate to each alert group on Alertu.io and click on the “Cloud Integration Settings” tab. Here you will find the webhook endpoint URLS for each supported cloud provider. Follow the integration guide for the cloud provider you would like to integrate with:
